So that night, we caught the bus to L.A. to transfer on to our next destination, San Diego. It was supposed to be fun... or at least that was the idea! GREYHOUND (Don’t do it!) – Trust me, pay the extra and travel in COMFORT! It was quite the experience, to say the least. When we finally arrived in L.A., we found ourselves crammed into a 2 1/2 person seat with three of us squeezed in there! (Janine, myself, and another girl). It was honestly one of the most uncomfortable situations I have ever faced! Janine ended up with a horrible cramp in her leg and couldn’t even move it! Ah, fun times! We eventually made it to San Diego, but upon arrival, we decided to try a new hostel. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t let us check in until 2 PM, which meant that no Tijuana tour was in our plans. To be honest, I was already thinking about skipping it anyway since I was feeling way too tired! So instead, we headed out to check out a charming 50's diner, the real deal, that a lady at the Information Center had recommended to us. It was incredibly cheap and absolutely delicious.

Today, we visited the San Diego Zoo, which was really cool; we saw pandas, giraffes, zebras, and much more! While it was quite a treat, I have to admit that the Sydney Zoo holds its own in comparison to the San Diego Zoo. After our zoo adventure, we went out to a tequila bar when we returned to our hostel. I had a Corona, and then we headed across the road for dinner, where I enjoyed a few more Coronas. Just to give you an idea of the prices here, you can get six Coronas at the supermarket for about $9.00 Australian (OHMIGAWD)! If that isn’t enough, you can grab a CARTON (which means 12 longnecks) for around $25.00 Australian (OHMYGAWD!) – it’s truly a beer lover's paradise! Drool - I've also been singing "My Corona" (a twist on "My Sharona") everywhere I go, as it feels like Corona Heaven!

Makeup prices are also a pleasant surprise – you can find REVLON for around $14.00 Australian! YEHA! Anyway, I won’t continue my rant any longer. Tomorrow, I am planning to go to SEA WORLD; just me, since Janine has decided she wants to skip it and be a party pooper. I am definitely NOT going to miss out on that! I’ll need to make sure I get up extra early, pack my bag, and check out of the hostel in time. Time for bed now; I miss you all!

Ciao for now,

Leanne
